The Eastport Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that two of our member businesses—Eastport General Store and Ocean Fog Farm—have been selected as recipients of the Long Island Association's L.O.C.A.L. Small Business Grant, funded by Optimum Business and aimed at supporting independent, community-centered enterprises. This recognition reflects not only the strength and vision of these individual businesses, but also the collaborative spirit that defines Eastport’s small business community.

Both Eastport General Store and Ocean Fog Farm launched in 2020 and have grown in parallel, forging a partnership rooted in shared values around sustainability, local sourcing, and community engagement. Their joint success in securing this grant speaks to the power of mutual support and the importance of fostering local connections among entrepreneurs.

The grant funding will enable both businesses to make targeted investments in infrastructure and programming that benefit the broader Eastport community. The Chamber congratulates both recipients on this well-deserved recognition!

We’re delighted to welcome Flourbud Bakery in East Moriches as one of the newest members of the Eastport Chamber of Commerce! Owned and operated by the incredibly talented Cristina Tovar, Flourbud is a small-batch bakery with a big heart — and even bigger flavor. Cristina’s signature creations range from perfectly flaky croissants to custom cakes that are as artful as they are delicious, all baked with intention, precision, and just the right amount of playfulness.

Cristina brings years of professional experience to her business, but what truly sets Flourbud apart is her commitment to locally sourced seasonal ingredients.

What started as a passion project blossomed into a thriving business, thanks to Cristina’s creativity, resilience, and word-of-mouth buzz from loyal customers. Now, as a Chamber member, she’s eager to deepen her connection with fellow small business owners and contribute to the vibrant local economy that’s always supported her.

You can find Flourbud Bakery at local farmers markets, pop-ups, and of course their storefront at 130 Montauk Highway in East Moriches. And if you’re not already following along on Instagram, we highly recommend you start! Cristina’s bakes are as much a feast for the eyes as they are for the taste buds. We’re thrilled to have her as part of our Chamber community and can’t wait to see what she whips up next.

Welcome, Cristina and Flourbud Bakery — we’re so glad you’re here!
