ECOC Scarecrow Contest Sign Up Form

    Contest Rules:
    • We will have a rolling entry of applications until the poles are all filled with scarecrows.
    • All completed scarecrows must be dropped off at Kreb Cycle no later than 4pm on October 6, 2024.
    • Scarecrows must be between 2' to 5' tall and 1'-3' wide, weather-resistant and sturdy. No food, live plants (pumpkins, squash, etc), or heavy/sharp objects are permitted in the construction of scarecrows.
    • As a family-friendly event, Eastport Chamber of Commerce reserves the right not to display an entry that is deemed offensive, inappropriate, or poorly constructed and may remove entries based on visitor complaints or damage. 
    • Scarecrows will be hung by ECOC on the lamp posts on Montauk Highway throughout Eastport's business district and will be on display from October 13-31.
    • Winner will be chosen by public voting throughout October. Winner will be announced during the Eastport Chamber of Commerce Main Street Trick-or-Treat Event on October 27, 2024.
    • Participants are responsible for picking up their scarecrows at Kreb Cycle on November 3, 2024. If scarecrow is not collected by that time it will be disposed of. If you know you will be unable to pick it up, please email [email protected] to arrange an alternate pick up time.
    • Eastport Chamber of Commerce is not responsible for any damage that may occur to scarecrows on display. If damage occurs, we will notify the applicant so they can make any necessary repairs. Some deterioration due to the elements is to be expected.
    • Neither the Eastport Chamber of Commerce, their officers, agents, nor employees will be held responsible for any injury or damage associated with the Scarecrow Contest.
    • Eastport Chamber of Commerce has permission to use photos of all scarecrow entries and entrant names for publicity and promotion of the event.
